Use case
Wearable API for Insurance Wellness Programmes
Verified activity and sleep data for behaviour-based incentives, with an audit trail behind every reward.

Activity-linked incentives only work if the underlying data can be trusted and explained. An insurer paying out on step counts needs to know which device produced them, when they were synced, and whether the vendor later revised them.
WearLink records provenance on every normalised object, re-delivers revisions as events, and keeps an append-only audit log of privileged access. That is the raw material for an incentive rule that survives a dispute.
This is also the segment where being honest about maturity matters most: WearLink has no compliance attestations today, and a regulated buyer should read the security page before anything else.
What usually goes wrong
Rewards need provenance
A step total without the source device, sync time and revision history cannot be defended when a member disputes a missed reward.
Data changes after the fact
Providers backfill and restate. A reward computed on Monday against a Sunday total can be wrong by Tuesday unless revisions flow through.
Vendor OAuth apps are a compliance surface
Each vendor application carries its own terms, data-use restrictions and review process. Consolidating them behind one integration reduces the surface to review.
How WearLink handles it
- Provenance on every record — Source provider, device type where the vendor exposes it, and ingestion timestamps on every normalised object.
- Revisions as first-class events — Restated records are re-emitted so an incentive engine can recompute rather than silently hold a stale value.
- Exportable audit log — Every privileged action is recorded and exportable as NDJSON for internal audit.
- Enterprise terms — Dedicated infrastructure, a BAA on request and custom availability commitments are available on the Enterprise tier.
